A client asked me this week, “How does my blog post actually lead people to book my class?”
Maybe you've been wondering the same thing. Why should you even commit to content marketing when you don't understand how it really helps you achieve your goals?
So here’s three ways your content can work for you:
1. Introducing you to your audience.
Your content is often the first impression, like a friendly cold call. Whether it’s a shared blog post or an organic social post, every piece you publish can put your name in front of new people and sets you up for the next step.
2. Positioning you as the expert.
Your content shows what you know. It builds trust and credibility, proving that when people work with you or buy from you, they’re in good hands. It's proof that you can deliver.
3. Guiding people to take action.
Done right, your content doesn’t just build awareness — it creates a path to purchase. Calls to action included in your content can draw a clear line from “I like what they’re saying” to “I’m in.” Your blog posts can also lead people back to your website where they can browse your offerings.
At the end of the day, your job is to make it easy for people to say yes. Don’t overcomplicate it. Just keep connecting the dots, offering and make it as simple as possible for your audience to hand over their money.
